The question is, will the same shooter be able to make Eugene Stoner’s original platform perform to the same level as today’s more tricked out ARs?

To satisfy that question, the Garand Thumb channel pits a surplus Vietnam-era M16A1 upper on an Aero Precision lower with mil-spec internals and iron sights against a BCM 11.5 MCMR with an EOTech EXPS3 on the same drills back-to-back.

At the end (spoiler) the results really weren’t that different, which goes to show that in many cases, training is more important than going into debt making Gucci guns.
