The 22nd Installment of Build of the Week was contributed by Matt. Thank goodness it is not another FDE gun. Honestly the hottest thing I like about this build is the Rail-Rap (see what I did there?). How did I not know about this product. You’d think by this point I’d have seen pretty much everything, at least in print… Otherwise this is a nice short package, and would make a good travel pistol. Matt submitted this back in July and had never shot it. Matt, how did it perform?
Keep the submissions coming in! We are publishing them in the order in which they were received (with the exception of a single person submitting back to back–those will get spread out).

After seeing some sweet AR pistols that had been rattlecaned and upon finding a complete AR pistol for $409, I embarked upon a mission – make a transportable shorty. Just completed it a day ago, so I haven’t shot it yet, I’ll be happy with a plate sized group at 100m. The lower and stock have been sprayed in khaki.

Tom is a former Navy Corpsman that spent some time bumbling around the deserts of Iraq with a Marine Recon unit, kicking in tent flaps and harassing sheep. Prior to that he was a paramedic somewhere in DFW, also doing some Executive Protection work between shifts. Now that those exciting days are behind him, he somehow fell into the role of Editor in Chief of The Firearm Blog (which he is hoping will be less stressful than harassing sheep). He hopes that his posts will help you find solid gear that will survive whatever you can throw at it–he is known (in certain circles) for his curse…ahem, ability…to find the breaking point of anything.
