Viridian Weapon Technologies introduces a new set of X Series weapon-mounted accessories, launching the X5L Gen 3 Green Laser, X5L-R Gen 3 Red Laser Sight and XTL Gen 3 Taclight.

The Gen 3 lineup boasts brighter lasers, momentary activation technology, taclights and Viridian’s proprietary Instant-On activation. Additionally, the series includes a removable, rechargeable battery with on-board charging and indicator lights that display battery capacity.

The Gen 3 X5L, X5L-R and XTL offer a sleeker construction to fit in holsters designed for Streamlight’s TLR1. The lights/lasers deliver a tool-less, quick detach mount with multiple modes of operation and output around 500 lumens.

“The X Series family of products has continued to evolve through the years, and the Gen 3 models are no exception,” Viridian President and CEO Brian Hedeen said in a press release. “Innovation has always been a top priority for Viridian, so we’re excited to give customers a new generation of our popular X Series lasers and taclights with rechargeable batteries and a sleeker package.”

The new series will ship in two color configurations — black and flat dark earth — with offerings to accommodate a variety of full-size handguns. The X5L starts at $249 for black and $279 for FDE, while the X5L-R is priced at $249. The XTL finishes the series at $199. Viridian offers combo packs for the X5L and X5L-R delivering a light and a TacLoc holster. Prices on the combo packs start around $279.
