Gander Outdoors launched its redesigned website this week featuring guns, ammunition and a catalog of outdoor gear.
It’s the latest revamp of the former Gander Mountain brand as CEO Marcus Lemonis promotes the retailer’s “locally curated” approach to inventory and a promise for “a better assortment of guns, at lower prices.”
“Online shopping is increasingly important to the outdoor enthusiast,” he said in a news release Tuesday. “To provide increased product offering to visitors and a better brand environment, our team is proud to present the new GanderOutdoors.com.”
Camping World Holdings bought Gander Mountain after it declared bankruptcy last year, shuttering 162 locations. Lemonis spent six months negotiating with existing landlords to reopen 69 stores through the first half of 2018. The first Gander Outdoors opened last month in Lakeville, Minnesota and another location will launch in Janesville, Wisconsin Jan. 20.
“It was important to me to bring Gander Outdoors back to many wonderful communities across the country because the employees are top notch and the stores provide great products and services for the community,” Lemonis said, adding his team has been working “tirelessly” while preparing to open the stores.
“We feel this list of locations is very solid and ready to be up and running in the coming months,” he added.
