Ultimatum Precision has introduced a new bolt action rifle action called Deadline. It is going to replace their U300 action. Besides the beautiful futuristic look with angled surfaces inspired by the M1 Abrams tank, this action has a number of improvements and new features, too.

The Ultimatum Precision Deadline action has a Remington 700 SA footprint and is compatible with Savage small shank pre-fit barrels (1-1/16x20tpi). It is available with three bolt face diameters fitting .223 Remington, .308 Winchester and magnum (they probably mean the belted magnums with .532 case head diameter) cartridges and others with same case head dimensions as the mentioned cartridges.

This action features a top Picatinny rail mounted with a set of screws. It also has a minimal ejection port length which is supposed to make it a stronger action. The 3-lug bolt head is floating and removable to make caliber changes easier. The 3-lug design also provides a 60-degree bolt throw.

The Deadline action is made of 4340 steel with a nitrided finish. It has a 5/16″ thick integral recoil lug. This action is compatible with Remington 700 triggers allowing to choose one of the many aftermarket offerings. It also takes AW and AICS magazines.

The short action version is already available for purchase at $998. You’ll need to wait up to 10 weeks until your order will be ready for shipping.
