MagPump, best known for their series of rifle magazine loaders, have launched their new Magpump 9mm magazine loader. The transition into the pistol magazine loader market is the next obvious step for the company that already offers a series of loaders for both the AR-15 and the AK platforms.
MagPump claim that their new hand cranked system can reduce loading times by up to 50%, loading 30 rounds in under 30 seconds while also eliminating hand fatigue. The 50 round hopper will enable multiple magazines to be loaded at once and the system is compatible with double stack pistol magazines from major manufacturers including Glock, SIG, Smith & Wesson and Springfield Armory.
The new loader follows on from the MagPump 5.56x45mm AR-15 Magazine Loader unveiled at last year’s SHOT Show, which TFBTV got a look at, later at the 2017 NRA convention.
The manufacturer claims the loader can load any type of 9x19mm ammunition currently available including Full Metal Jacket, Jacketed Hollow Points, Semi-Jacketed Hollow Points, Hollow Points, and lead round nose rounds. Much like their rifle magazine loaders the new 9mm loader also self-orientates the ammunition allowing ammunition to be simply dumped into the hopper.
MagPump state that the loader is able to load magazines from almost all of the major pistol manufacturers as it comes with six retainers that adapt to various magazine brands:
Compatible with 9mm double stack magazines in these pistol models:
SIG – 320, P224, P226, P228, P229, P250, SP2022, SP2340, SP2009
Glock – Glock 17, Glock 17L, Glock 18, Glock 19, Glock 26, Glock 34
Spring Field Armory – XD, XD mod.2
Smith & Wesson – M&P
CZ USA – P10
Ruger – SR9, SR9c, 9E
