U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “The gunman, who was shot and killed by police, was described as a white male in his 30s.” USA Today informed its readers Sunday about Saturday’s murderous rampage in Odessa, TX. “Authorities have not yet released his name.”
That will probably change by the time this article is published, but the fact remains it is being composed on the morning after this high-profile incident, and it makes fair the question “Why not?”
Why don’t we know his name, yet the narrative-advancing tip that the armed maniac was “a white male in his 30s” is now known to all? Talk about an exploitable meme, especially if any hint of “nationalism” is involved.
Who this fiend was and what he advocated in life are relevant as we have recently seen, with the gun-grab groups and media deemphasizing or ignoring the “progressive” sympathies of the Dayton killer. As we’ve also recently noted, by NOT identifying the killer, we are dependent on what “officials” and their approved media megaphones tell us. That cuts independents (disparaged as “just a blogger” by “real journalists”) from doing their own fact checks. If anything, I’d like to see the mutant’s social media sites and everything about them left up so we can see for ourselves the mindset they had and from what ideologies they sprang, instead of what we see happening with increasing frequency – those accounts are taken down before the names of the killers are even released.
Those who say that shouldn’t matter always fail to account for one inconvenient truth when others are assigning “left/right” motives: The killers are NEVER believers in the Constitution because that ideology requires the commitment to champion the rights of the individual. Randomly executing strangers with no delegated authority and without due process is a rejection of all of that, and the work of a bloody-handed collectivist.
Without further information at this time, DSM propaganda organs resort to reminding readers about other exploited “mass shootings.” One USA Today update finds it important to call reader attention to a simultaneous rollback in a handful of Texas infringements as if correlation equates with causation. Of course, the one had nothing to do with the other, but logical fallacies are what gun-grabbers do.
The UK’s The Sun goes further, adopting a baby-endangerment theme by dancing in the blood of one who was injured and showing endearing family photos to tug at the hearts of and manipulate the reader. They do, however, offer another bit of information that USA Today chose not to share, and that may point to why information about the killer has been so slow to be released:
“Cops are yet to release the identity of the dead shooter – and only revealed he is a white male in his 30s who was known to police.”
How was he “known to police”? What is the extent of that knowledge? Was he known to be a danger? And if so, why are the ones who knew the sole arbiters of when to release the information and how it will be presented? Was he legally eligible to possess a gun, and did he observe the law in obtaining his? Enquiring minds want to know.
As admitted, by the time this article is published, we’ll likely know more, although how much more remains to be seen. We can bet that regardless, we’ll see renewed demands that we must do “something,” and a fresh round of equivocation and abandonment by increasingly nervous, and thus malleable, Republicans.
One truth comes out in The Sun report, despite the expected “progressive” ridicule of prayer whenever such is offered without unconditional surrender of the right to keep and bear arms:
“Pray that whatever is causing them to do this will be defeated by God and they will stop shooting.”
The Founders recognized that human beings “are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” To further borrow words from the Declaration of Independence, “experience hath shewn” that “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God” are upheld by men, and that will hold true for the defeat of individual monsters and for the bloody-handed collectivists whose power-mad diktats make them not just possible, but inevitable.
UPDATE: As this article was being submitted, the following was released by the Odessa Police Department:
“There will be a press conference today at Noon at UTPB in the South parking lot.”
